Science Fair Application Closed

The science fair application process is now closed. If you have an account you may update it. If you have not completed your application, please do so immediately.

If you missed the deadline, please contact me directly. Some exceptions have been made based on prior requests from teachers. Call me at 215-736-2449 or email me at bwong @ voicenet . com.

All changes must be completed by midnight, Tuesday, May 11th. Seniors may update their abstract until the day before the fair.

Email Activation Problems

I think I have discovered why some people were having problems activating their accounts. If you have a user name with a space in it then the activation link will not work properly. Please call or email me if you have a problem.

Also, there were a number of accounts awaiting activation. I have activated those so if you run into a problem with the activation link just try logging in. Let me know if this does not work.

Elementary Division Download Read This First

Note, some Elementary Division students (grades 4 and 5) were told to click on the Download link to get the forms. Do not do this. You will get the ISEF forms and these are only needed if your project involves some restricted project areas such as biological research. Please contact us if you have questions.

Instead, please click on the Register link and sign up for an account. You can then fill in the application online after I provide the approval. You must sign up by Mar 8th. You should finish filling in the application as soon as you receive the approval email and click on the activation link even if it is past March 8th.

Alternatively, download the blank Elementary application form.

Elementary Division Registration Closes Mar 8th

Elementary division (4th and 5th grade) entries can be posted until March 8th. You will still be able to participate if you have applied for an account by the 8th even if your approval does not come back until after the 8th. Please finish you application as soon as you review the approval email and have clicked on the accompanying activation link in the email.

Junior and Senior division applications should be completed online by now and mailed in. Junior and Senior division applicants should contact us if there was any problem or if you have any issues. Abstracts can still be updated.

Junior and Senior Applications Due

March 1st is this weekend and the target date for Junior and Senior division entries! Anything mailed this weekend will be accepted (i.e. a postmark date of March 3 will be accepted). This is the deadline though so get that paperwork in the mail. Please contact us if you are having problems meeting the deadline.

Problems opening your registration file in Acrobat?

If you have downloaded your registration information you will have a file with a name like bwongMercerFair.pdf. If Acrobat has a problem opening the file then rename it to bwongMercerFair.fdf and try opening it again. It will ask for the MercerFair.pdf file. This should have been downloaded using the blank ISEF registration forms.

Science Services is now Society for Science & the Public (SSP)

The Society for Science & the Public (SSP) is the new name for Science Service, the organization that runs the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. SSP is the same group. They have a new website although the old one is still accessible.

There are no changes to any forms (ISEF or MSEC) this year.
