What is the Mercer Science and Engineering Club?
The Mercer Science and Engineering Club hosts the annual
Mercer Science and Engineering Fair (MSEF).
The fair is affiliated with the Intel
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and the Discovery
Channel Young Scientist Challenge.
The fair has been
held for more than 50 years in Mercer County,
NJ. It is open to students
of Mercer County in grades 4 through 12. The grand prize winner of the
Senior Division (9-12th grade) receives
an all expense paid trip to the Intel Intel
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Winners in the 5th
through 8th grades get to participate in the Discovery
Channel Young Scientist Challenge.
Club members are responsible for running the fair,
organizing the judges and raising the funds to run the fair and send the
grand prize winner to ISEF. The club also holds training sessions for
teachers, mentors and students that are interested in participating in
the fair. The club newsletter
is emailed to all interested parties.
The club is a non-profit corporation (Mercer Science and
Engineering Club, Inc.) based in New Jersey. Its a registered 501(c)(3)
charitable organization. Our Tax ID is 20-1346005.
